4Design Designboards are milled primarily from ALPI thick-cut veneers.
Milled reliefs
The defining feature of 4Design Boards is the milled surface – milled from ALPI thick-cut veneers, so that the same ALPI decors are also available in standard thickness for combinations of structured and smooth surfaces.
Sheet (TNT)
3130 × 1220 mm, milled ALPI thick-cut veneer, paper-fleece-backed on the reverse – the flexible base format.
FlexBoard
1000 × 1800 or 3000 × 1200 mm, with a fabric interlayer on 5 mm MDF – for two-dimensional forming of curves and bends.
Board (Rigid)
3000 × 1200 mm, milled thick-cut veneer on 15 mm MDF or plywood carrier with a compensating counter-veneer – the rigid variant.
Structure families
The defining feature of 4Design Boards is the milled surface from ALPI thick-cut veneer. Three structure families – Batten, Milled and Wave – cover the entire design spectrum from a fine, almost graphic texture to a bold, space-defining rib. Veneer thicknesses range from 2.8 to 16.8 mm.
Every structure is available in three formats: as a flexible Sheet (TNT), as a two-dimensionally formable FlexBoard, and as a rigid Board on an MDF or plywood carrier. This allows the same structure to be used on the wall, on a furniture front or as a freestanding partition – and combined with smooth ALPI decors in standard thickness.
The designations follow a simple logic: "S" stands for the veneer thickness, "P" for the batten or wave width, and "F" (for Milled) for the milling pitch. Exact dimensions for each article can be found in the product finder.

The S-series encompasses flat, bold and pointed-round batten profiles. Veneer thickness ranges from 2.8 mm (S3) to 16.8 mm (S15). Each profile is available as Sheet, FlexBoard or Board.

All 4Design Boards are milled from ALPI thick-cut veneers. The ten decors below form the standard palette – the same decors are also available as standard-thickness veneer for smooth surfaces, floors and combinations.
