HWB acoustic elements - for better room acoustics

HWB acoustic elements are modern acoustic composite elements with surfaces in native or reconstructed veneers. They can improve the acoustic quality of working and living spaces and are used wherever hard, sound-reflecting materials such as glass, steel and concrete dominate the living area. The modern acoustic composite panels integrate seamlessly and unobtrusively into the room architecture or take on a design role. As a ceiling or wall element, but also as a furniture front or partition, they are integrated into the living space and improve room acoustics. For the different areas of use there are various elements – for example as a honeycomb panel, with acoustic fleece or in a fire-protection version.

Perforation patterns

HWB-Akustik - special features

HWB ACOUSTIC panels are finished with the real-wood veneers ALPIlignum, ALPIkord or VINTERIO and thus offer a wide range of design options. The build-up of the acoustic panel with various hole patterns provides not only sound-absorbing properties but also a special visual appeal. Depending on the construction, there is a marked weight reduction – this is particularly high in the frame construction with an internal cardboard honeycomb. This enables versatile use as ceiling cladding, a mobile element or in exhibition construction. ALPIkord, with its factory-finished lacquered surface, offers the advantage in combination with the hole pattern that the problems of subsequent lacquering are eliminated. Acoustic elements with a gypsum-fibre board as the carrier provide fire class A2 and are available with matching substructures.

HWB acoustic elements - construction types

Depending on the area of use, weight and fire-protection requirement, three construction types are available.

XONI – acoustic MDF panel / panels

Build-up: panel perforated or slotted on the front, surface in veneer or laminate, panel coarsely perforated or slotted on the back, with acoustic fleece.

  • Use: wall and ceiling element, partition or free-standing wall, furniture fronts
  • Weight: medium weight saving
  • Feature: very stable, also possible as panels with tongue-and-groove joint
  • Surface: native veneers, ALPI and Vinterio veneers, ALPIkord
  • Perforation: various micro-perforation, perforation or slotting options
  • Edge: unperforated min. 15 mm
  • Lacquer: optional · Edging: optional
  • Fire protection: optional, B-s1-d0, B-s2-d0 – without composite test
  • Carrier: MDF FF (formaldehyde-free) 19 or 16 mm – optionally flame-retardant, moisture-resistant, FSC® on request
  • Formats: panels up to 2440 × 1220 mm, 3050 × 1220 mm, 2800 × 1020 mm; panels 2780 × 192 mm or 2780 × 128 mm

Wood AcousticFireBoard

Build-up: panel perforated or slotted on the front, veneer surface, panel coarsely perforated or slotted on the back.

  • Use: wall and ceiling element, only very limited suitability as a furniture front
  • Weight: heavy
  • Feature: fire protection A2 with composite test, matching substructures for wall + ceiling available
  • Surface: native veneers, ALPI and Vinterio veneers
  • Perforation: various perforation or slotting options
  • Edge: unperforated min. 15 mm
  • Lacquer: lacquered · Edging: raw, optionally matching lacquered edge
  • Fire protection: A2-s1,d0 with composite test
  • Carrier: gypsum-fibre board – 12.6 / 16.6 / 18.6 / 21.6 / 23.6 or 25.6 mm
  • Formats: up to 3100 × 1260 mm, 2560 × 1260 mm

HoneycombBoard – acoustic honeycomb panel

Build-up: chipboard frame with an internal cardboard honeycomb and acoustic fleece, perforated cover layer on both sides in veneer or laminate.

  • Use: wall and ceiling element, partition or free-standing wall, furniture fronts
  • Weight: very light, almost 70 % weight reduction compared with a chipboard panel
  • Feature: subsequent cutting is problematic, as it reduces the stability of the panel
  • Surface: native veneers, ALPI and Vinterio veneers, ALPIkord
  • Perforation: various perforation options possible
  • Edge: unperforated at least 25 to 50 mm
  • Lacquer: optional · Edging: optional
  • Fire protection: optional, B-s1-d0, B-s2-d0 – without composite test
  • Carrier: chipboard frame – 19 or 16 mm
  • Formats: up to 3000 × 1250 mm, 3500 × 1250 mm
